Size of crocheted Firebug using specified materials below is about 8 inches long. Materials: Yarn - I used YarnArt Jeans (50g, 160m). 1 skein of black, less than a skein of red. Hook 1.75 mm (I always use smaller hook than yarn manufacturer suggests, to avoid gaps in work) Pins Fiberfill Stitch marker Safety eyes (I used 16 mm diameter but you can use bigger or smaller eyes)

This was the first pattern I've ever bought, I was a little scared that the pattern would skip important parts but i can see this isn't the case. So far I'm loving this pattern. The reason i bought it was because my aunt asked if i could crochet a preying mantis for her!
